Glen Pacey
Australia

Glen resides in Brisbane, Australia, where he works in the construction industry - primarily as a necessity in order to fund his lifelong passion: traveling throughout the Australian territorial lands and seas in search of birds. In recent years he has explored all mainland states, and numerous island territories. He is a regular participant in various regular pelagic birding trips out of Queensland, NSW, and Tasmania, averaging at least 30 days days at sea each year.

His interest in Shorebird conservation has led to his active membership in the Queensland Wader Study Group, and regular survey work. This work has had tangible conservation outcomes in recent years, with identification of key migratory bird zones, influencing developmental processes for coastal Queensland.

Glen is an outwardly interactive guy with a positive 'can-do' attitude and enduring sense of humour, and a reputation for staying on task in the effective and efficient pursuit of whatever task he is presented with. As for all of the Heard Island participants, he is very excited about the adventures and challenges ahead, and is very keen to fully support the aims of the expedition in anyway he can.
